Dinosaur Tracks -
These tracks were found in Newington, Connecticut in the 1970's,
in a red shale known as the Portland Arkose of the Newark Series,
Triassic Era
The 3 tracks are of the following species:
Small- Apatichnus Minor (4X4 cm)
Medium - Batruchopus Deweyi (4X5 cm)
Large- Apatichnus Circumageus (5X10 cm)
(The size of the shale slab is 2X24X24 cm)
The first photo is as the tracks look in natural condition.
The second photo shows the tracks dusted with talcum powder in order to
create a better contrast for imaging.
